TOP 10 BOOKS I READ IN 2015

Iced coffee? Check. Christmas cookies for comfort? Check. Finding it hard to cope with the memories of my favourite books of 2015? Yep, let’s do this. 2015 has been a massive year for me; my first year on bookstagram, kick starting my blog, hosting an international giveaway and meeting a heap of you along the way. Not to mention reading and hauling a heap of books!
I’ve gone from 25 books when I started in June this year to over 120 books now! It’s honestly so difficult to come up with a list of My Top 10 Books I Read In 2015 with my opinion of each, but here it is:

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS – STEPHANIE PERKINS

No surprise here, this book has certainly become my all-time favourite book! I constantly am recommending this to people as the storyline is very romantic and the characters are so genuine & true to themselves. A massive thank you to Stephanie Perkins for this beautiful masterpiece.

THE GOOD LUCK OF RIGHT NOW – MATTHEW QUICK

If you enjoy a book that will make you think about life and the good & bad in life, pick up this book. At first it can be a hard book into but if you stick with it you will thank yourself when you finish it.

THE LOST PRINCE – JULIE KAGAWA

A trip to another realm, mysterious creatures and an adventurous romance. The Lost Prince is a fantasy, young adult read that you are sure to love. Although I do believe there are others in the series, it was a wonderful book on its own.

MAYBE SOMEDAY – COLLEEN HOOVER

Wow. What a whirlwind of emotions – RIP to those of you who have read this. Honestly, this book was so darn emotional I was in an emotional comma for about a month or more. This young adult, contemporary romance read is one that I believe everyone ought to pick up – not to mention the soundtrack by Griffin Peterson (BAE).

IF I STAY – GAYLE FORMAN

I only watched the movie of this about a week ago and I can’t choose what I like more, the book or the movie. Both were full of character development, an emotional and touching storyline & this book really makes you think about the value of your life not only to yourself but those around you.

OLEAH CHRONICLES: TRUTH – MICHELLE JOHNSON

What if a secret was kept from you to then find out minutes before all hell breaks loose? This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Suspense, romance, adventure and finding out who you truly are. Definitely one to pick up! Massive thank you to Michelle Johnson for sending me this book!

SHATTERED ROSE – TAMMY L GRAY

I have never cried so hard as much as I did whilst reading Avery’s story. Heartfelt, tragic, relatable and one of the most memorable books I have ever read. Tammy L Gray describes the book “For any girl who has struggled to love herself.” – what a stunning way of describing this book because it is indeed a true statement. Definitely a book I’ll be re-reading in 2016.

HIDE AND SEEK HER – HB STUMBO

Full of mystery, new relationships and thriller; Hide And Seek Her has something for everyone! I received this book from the author who is an absolute angel, thank you so much Hayley! Follow the story of Charlotte as she works her way through life, meeting an unexpected lover and becoming part of a family she wished she had. When life seems so perfect for Charlotte, her worst nightmare returns to shake things up and potentially ruin the life she has just rebuilt.

THROUGH THE ZOMBIE GLASS - GENA SHOWALTER

Imagine your favourite childhood story, reimagined with zombies – welcome into the world of Alice In Zombieland. Join forces with Ali and the zombie slayers as they fight off the evil in this world, however change is in the air as Ali is infected with zombie toxin. Will she survive? Read the Alice in Zombieland series to find out!

HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE - JK ROWLING

Now what would the festive season be without a re-read of Harry Potter’s journey to Hogwarts? I’ve always loved Harry Potter – movies & books – and it is always good to go back to the Wizarding World. What I love most about this series is J.K Rowling’s descriptions – so full of detail and beauty. If you haven’t read the Harry Potter series, you are seriously missing out!

So that was my list of My Top 10 Books I Read In 2015! I will be posting a lot more reviews and My Most Anticipated Books of 2016 will be coming New Years Day!

Think Lovely Thoughts xo
