P.S. I LOVE YOU BY CECILIA AHERN

Rating: 4 stars

“Don't be afraid to fall in love again. Open your heart and follow where it leads you...and remember, shoot for the moon.”

Goodreads Book Description:
A beautiful special edition for Valentine's Day - the classic million-copy bestselling love story from Cecelia Ahern. Everyone needs a guardian angel...Some people wait their whole lives to find their soul mates. But not Holly and Gerry. Childhood sweethearts, they could finish each other's sentences and even when they fought, they laughed. No one could imagine Holly and Gerry without each other. Until the unthinkable happens. Gerry's death devastates Holly. But as her 30th birthday looms, Gerry comes back to her. He's left her a bundle of notes, one for each of the months after his death, gently guiding Holly into her new life without him, each note signed 'PS, I Love You'. As the notes are gradually opened, the man who knows Holly better than anyone sets out to teach her that life goes on. With some help from her friends, and her noisy and loving family, Holly finds herself laughing, crying, singing, dancing - and being braver than ever before. Life is for living, she realises - but it always helps if there's an angel watching over you.

My Review:
As she grieves from the loss of Gerry dawns on Holly, she struggles with her daily duties until her mother calls and tells Holly that she has received a package addressed to Holly entitled “List”. To Holly’s surprise, Gerry has used the last of his energy to fulfil the list he had promised her before he passed.

In P.S. I Love You, readers get the chance to see what it’s like to lose someone you hold dear to your heart and how the beginning of a new life can change everything.

Gerry is incredible throughout the story as not only does he know when he will die but he has the strength to carry out one final task for Holly. To give her a second chance at life.

Cecelia Ahern has given the audience a powerful love story, inspiring those going through heartbreak, depression or tough times in their lives that life does in fact go on.
You may not see the light but it is always there.

I would recommend P.S. I Love You to those out there who love a romance read and are looking for something to lighten up your life and inspire you to be more positive and see the light.

Think lovely thoughts xo
