MOVIE REVIEW: THE LONGEST RIDE

Rating: 5 stars

“It’s 8 seconds. That’s all it is. That girl could be the rest of your life.”

Nicholas Sparks. Mostly known for writing books now turned movies, The Notebook and A Walk To Remember. With 17 books in which 10 have been made into blockbuster movies and recently adding to that list of movies, The Longest Ride starring Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson.

IMDB Movie Description:
Former bull-riding champion Luke (Scott Eastwood) and college student Sophia (Britt Robertson) are in love, but conflicting paths and ideals threaten to tear them apart: Luke hopes to make a comeback on the rodeo circuit, and Sophia is about to embark on her dream job in New York's art world. As the couple ponder their romantic future, they find inspiration in Ira (Alan Alda), an elderly man whose decades-long romance with his beloved wife withstood the test of time.

My Review:
The character development in The Longest Ride was incredible to watch and the casting for Luke and Sophia was absolutely spot on! Scott Eastwood shirtless though…WOW.
The story of Ira and his wife brought tears to my eyes as you could truly see a connection between the two couples featured in the film.

Nicholas Sparks has yet again astounded me by teaming up with director, George Tillman Jr to bring this beautiful and captivating story to life.

This movie is a definite must see for those who are a fan of Nicholas Sparks’ work or those of you who enjoy an enchanting love story.

Think Lovely Thoughts xo
