MOVIE REVIEW: PITCH PERFECT 2

Rating: 4.5 stars

Can anyone say aca-awesome?!

MOVIE SUMMARY:
After a humiliating command performance at The Kennedy Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.

MY REVIEW:
Pitch Perfect 2 was aca-amazing! The Bellas brought the beat back and knocked me right out of the theatre! It was so good to watch Beca, Fat Amy, Chloe, Stacie, Lilly, Cynthia-Rose, Jessica and Ashley come together along with newbies Emily and Florencia. As always the rest of the cast were astounding from a fanfare from John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks to Das Sound Machine and Pentatonix!
Elizabeth Banks, director of Pitch Perfect 2 definitely pulled a tear or two from me with such a wonderful, boppy and bright movie that for sure made most of the theatre feel like dancing!

As shown in the first Pitch Perfect movie, the cast and crew created a movie full of humor, romantic tension and teams competing together. With the new casting of Hailee Steinfield and Chrissie Fit it created a different vibe to the Barden Bellas but created love interests – NO SPOILERS!

The mix of adding in a European team, a Canadian team, an Indian team and a Filipino team created a new cultured vibe and as they performed in Any Way You Want It, the song was turned into a very colourful new version which I very much enjoyed.

Personally, I would not know which movie was better out of the two so far but I am very much looking forward to Pitch Perfect 3 which comes out in cinemas July 2017!

They’ll be back, pitches!

Think Lovely Thoughts xo
