“My
name is Ethan Chase. And I may not live to see my eighteenth birthday.”
Have
you ever felt as if someone or something was watching your every move? As
though something was hiding in the shadows?

Book Description:
Don’t
look at Them.
Never
let Them know
you
can see Them.
That
is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all
costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now
he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought
he’d dare to fall for.
Ethan
thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of
Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and
disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and
talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan,
there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.
My
name is Ethan Chase.
And
I may not live to see my
eighteenth
birthday.
My
Review:
Take
a trip into the Nevernever and see the world through Ethan’s eyes, witness
astounding creatures that were only believed to exist in our minds.
The
Lost Prince by
Julie Kagawa is one book I will never forget. She has created such diversity
between the mortal and immortal realms.
The
Nevernever is described beyond what I had expected, full of unusual creatures,
mythical landscapes and experiences to never forget.
Ethan
Chase leads this story from his perspective in which you see his thoughts,
interactions with others and how he develops throughout the book. His
development as a character completely shocked me as you first meet him with his
walls sky high, not daring to allow anyone in. As the story continues, his
walls are slowly broken down by the beautiful Mackenzie St James.
Mackenzie
is introduced as a school journalist, as she tries to interview Ethan,
Mackenzie discovers more than she may have bargained.
So
can Ethan alter his rule and join forces with the Fey to take down the
evil in the mortal and immortal realms?
