MOVIE REVIEW: THE BFG

Rating: 5 stars

IMDB Movie Description:
A girl named Sophie encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kind-hearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because, unlike them, he refuses to eat children.

My Review:
Based on the classic children’s book by Roald Dahl, Steven Spielberg brings the fantastical realm of Giant Country to life in The BFG.
After Sophie spies on the Big Friendly Giant at 3am, she is swooped up and thrown into a world she didn’t believe to exist.

The beauty of Giant Country is not only the Big Friendly Giant himself but also the marvellous adventures into Dream Land, a place where dreams roam freely like little fireflies.

Although having slightly dark undertones, The BFG also has a lighter side of enchantment, childish wonderment and a world of pure imagination.

I want to say a massive thank you to Walt Disney Publicity & Promotion for inviting me to see a 3D advanced screening of The BFG!
